I use some software (I'm using Windows 8) called Peek Through to make windows semi-transparent. It worked fine for a long time. Now all of the sudden, I cannot open this software, and I receive the following message instead: "Microsoft .NET Framework Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Configuration system failed to initialize."

Note that I think I didn't start getting this error until the power suddenly went out on my pc several times without a proper shutdown. Also note that I think I tried to reinstall the Microsoft .NET Framework a couple months ago to fix the problem, but maybe I did not do it correctly.

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.


The application must also be compiled with debugging


enabled.





For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception


will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer


rather than be handled by this dialog box.

If I click continue, this error box goes away, but the Peek Through software does not work. How should I fix this problem?
