Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) that facilitates collaboration between users in editing and managing documents and files stored on World Wide Web servers. A working group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) defined WebDAV in RFC 4918.





The WebDAV protocol makes the Web a readable and writable medium.[1] It provides a framework for users to create, change and move documents on a server; typically a web server or web share.

GoodSync explorer works quite well. This is one of my favorites.

GoodSync Connect can be used with webdav to sync some portion of a webdav site with a location on another computer

also. . a search for ajax file browser seems quite fruitful

Maybe the best method for sharing all of my files with others could actually be to pay for a large amount of storage with a webhost (I think there are plans less than $15 per month; http://www.hostrocket.com/webhosting.html), and then put a php or some online file explorer on the server.
