azim58 - RT-PCR of transcripts figure 3-10-13

This figure will show whether transcript sequences could be amplified
from various RNA sources using certain primers.

A version of the figure was present in the presentation here

Analysis
Note that all of the RNA samples all contain the expected bands for the
fragments amplified with this set of primers. However, the normal tissue
also contains many other bands for the Wfdc17_S primer set which the
tumor samples do not contain. This may be due to the tissue type
difference since the tumor samples are breast tissue and the normal skin
tissue is from the ear of a mouse.

===========================================================================

^ Note that I actually think I don't want to include this figure in the
paper. All these PCRs show is that the transcripts were in the RNA pool
as expected. There is only one sequence (Wfdc17_S) which shows something
different between the RNA samples. However, the forward primer for this
sample bound to part of the SMARTerIIA oligo sequence. The primer was
designed this way before I realized that the SMARTerIIA oligo sequence
existed and that this sequence was not part of the transcript sequence.
Therefore, I'm not sure if much can be included or if much information
can be gained from this figure.
