Next round of questions for Spanish consulate as of 07-15-2014d1511
-Is there a webpage that lists the requirements for a Form _ visa which I need? I have only seen a webpage for a work visa here:
-How do I obtain an official criminal record check in Spanish? I have had several phone calls with the FBI and US Department of State, and here is how I understand the process: I obtain an official English criminal backround report from the FBI (they don't provide Spanish criminal record reports). Then I have someone in my local area translate this document into Spanish. Then I send both the English and the Spanish document to the US Department of State to obtain the Apostille certification. Is this correct? Are there any other methods? Also who can I have translate the criminal record document into Spanish? Can I have a friend that speaks Spanish translate this document, or is there a specific authority who needs to translate this document?
Thanks for any help and information you have to offer me!

Hi Spanish Consulate representative,
I just want to confirm that I can only make an appointment from 8-11:50am, and that there are no afternoon appointments. Is this correct? I could only see the morning appointments from the scheduler located here:
https://app.timetrade.com/tc/login.do?url=spanconsul
However, I may have missed something. Thanks for any help and information you have to offer!

In addition to my scheduling question, can I go to any Spain consulate in the US? Or do I have to go the LA consulate to get a work visa since I live in Arizona? I am curious about this issue because if I can go to any Spain consulate in the US, then I may be able to find a sooner appointment time and obtain my work visa sooner.

Dear Mr. Whittemore,
You must apply at the Consulate serving your permanent residency area, in your case, since you live in Arizona, is Los Angeles. Here below please find the link to our web page with the information related to work visas.

Also, in addition to my question about the dropdown menu, is there any possibility that I would be able to hold a work or residence visa appointment before August 1st which is the time that my work contract starts? Do people often cancel appointments or do people ever trade times if the schedule of one person is not as urgent as another? As a side note, I should have all of the documents I need by July 26th since I will receive my criminal record report with the Apostille of the Hague stamp at that time.
Best,
Kurt

Both appointments are with the same department so there is not a problem. The most important thing to bring is the authorization from the Ministry of Labor in Spain in addition to your contract.
