challenge society to get rid of the weak parts
challenge the society in the name of someone else to give separate

groups of people a common enemy like the villain in the Watchmen

villains with completely misguided beliefs like Muslim terrorists
parasitic type villains that try to improve themselves through the

downfall of another just like petty thieves do

destroy corrupt society to start fresh like Ra's al Ghul in Batman

comics/games

revenge (but revenge that is much more extreme than the original

insult that triggered the revenge)

entity that may be doing some good things, but may be doing some bad

things as a side effect (like a company that might be making a neat
product but destroying the environment)
