General notes about preparing a research paper. . journal article
How to write a paper

Front page should have title, authors, affiliations
Figure captions should be at the end of the prepared document after the

references

Figures should be in a separate document with a page for each figure

(figures should just be in the center of the page)

Tables should be in their own document with the caption at the top with

footnotes below the table

end of document should have acknowledgements
Consistently use some convention for numbers. For example, typically 0-9

are written as words and the rest as numerals. The exception is the start
of a sentence, which cannot begin with a numeral.
