Is it more expensive to order oligos with random nucleotides as compared
with oligos with non-random nucleotides? How large would the price
difference be? Also, someone told me that in the past it was not possible
to order oligos with a random nucleotide at the 3' end of the oligo? Is
this still the case or can I order an oligo with a random nucleotide at
any position? I am asking these questions because I think I will soon
order random pentadecamers (15 bp oligos) to help me construct a cDNA
library. Thanks for any help and information you have to offer me!

Good Afternoon Kurt,

You can order a degenerative base at any position in you sequence. There
is no premium in pricing for the degenerative bases unless you would like
a unique mixture. You should be able to place the order online with no
issues. The price for a desalted oligo should cost about $4.80. If you
have any questions or concerns please let me know.
