Why do I have interest in learning Esperanto?  Right now Esperanto is not a very useful language, and there may be a high probability that it will never be.
-I am interested in meeting other people that are interested in standardization, ideals, and hoping for a better world (one with fewer barriers).
-Learning Esperanto is kind of like a little game, and the fact that it is a consistent and logical language makes the game kind of fun to play.
-Also, I just like the concept of Esperanto.  I like the idea of having one universal auxiliary language which is constructed in a logical manner.  Esperanto seems to be a very clean and organized language.  I also think that when so many people speak their own languages and can't communicate well, progress (scientific, technological, and political progress) is slowed down greatly.  Travelling around could be easier if everyone could speak the same language as well.
