The procedure was a little pricey though ($418.64), but I also got 2 years of Geek Squad support. Previously my laptop took a long time to start up and wake up from sleep. Now however, the laptop starts up and wakes up from sleep much faster and is more responsive overall. I could type to log in, but I couldn't type anywhere else. I tried booting into safe mode. . didn't help. I performed a system restore to the last restore point about 10 days previously when Zero Tier One was removed by one of the IT guys at CNIO in an attempt to get my computer to be able to print at CNIO. The system restore took about 10 min, and then my keyboard worked again! 03-16-2015d1555 see also -[Choice of New Laptop 9-20-13]
