I think I will try to cancel my $70-80 Verizon, cancel the $55 Cox, and
then obtain the $30 unlimited data T mobile plan at Walmart. They give
you very few minutes, but an app called GrooveIP let's you use Google
Voice with the phone's data rather than the phone's minutes. Another app
called Pdanet let's you use the phones internet from your pc through a
usb tether. One bad thing is that I think T mobile does "throttle" the
customers on this plan so the speeds decrease if you use a lot of data,
but since I'm poor I think I'll have to take what I can get ha.

Here's a few details
My current Verizon contract ends August 17th (I would be charged $120) if
I end it now. Although the contract ends August 17th, my payment covers
until September 8th. So I can probably port my number over to T mobile
sometime inbetween this period.
I would be charged $40 a month if I cancel the data part of my plan
The amount of credit that I can get for my current Samsung Droid Charge
is $61

I may consider cancelling Cox as well. My cox bill is paid around the
15th or 17th of each month.

Ported Verizon number over to T mobile. They said this could take a 24-72
hours.

help.

Here's some issues that I have with T mobile so far.
-My verizon number still has not be ported to T mobile even though I have
spoken with a T mobile representative about this issue two times in the
last two to three weeks.
-The my account app only showed how much data I had been using for the
1st week or so. After that, the data used just displayed 0 MB so I was
not able to monitor how much data I was using over time.
-After I had surpassed my 5 GB of 4G I was switched to the 2G network as
expected. I paid $30 to gain 5 GB more of 4G on Sunday morning. However,
as of Monday afternoon, I still have not been switched to 4G service.
