-to use the internet on your computer from your phone use the PDANet
app or FoxFi or an app similar to them. You may want to clear the RAM on
your phone
to make the internet run faster on your PC. In one speedtest, I
obtained about 3.37 Mbps download and 1.58 Mbs upload. With FoxFi I
obtained around 6 Mbps download and about 2 Mbps upload. Note that if I
want to fix a problem connecting with FoxFi or just try to avoid a
problem I often change the name of the network so that I am connecting to
a new network. For example, the default name of a FoxFi network is
something like FoxFi01 and I will change this to FoxFi02, FoxFi03. . .
-to make long phone calls use Skype or GrooveIP (for free) with your
Google Voice number since the plan only gives you 100
minutes (it's 10 cents per minute after the 100 minutes; note that you
cannot use the 10 cents per minute unless the account has been refilled
with money from which the 10 cents per minute can be charged.). Skype can
be setup to display whatever number you would like on the caller ID.
I've set it up to display my Google Voice number. Note that Skype cannot
import contacts from gmail without a 3rd party application (see importing
gmail contacts into skype)
-the Samsung Exhibit phone sold at Walmart as one of the T Mobile plan
phones is quite cheap (like $160 or $180) but I have been quite
impressed with it's capabilities and am very satisfied. However, I
think you can put the SIM cards you activate with the T Mobile plan
into any GSM compatible phone.
-to get better reception on your phone to increase the speed of internet
on your computer, the phone can be placed up in a window. I obtained much
better reception by doing this. I then had the phone broadcast a wifi
network with FoxFi. I can then connect to this network with another phone
or with a computer.

Best Plan Ever

In order for you to get this plan you need a new activation from Tmobile.
That means you have to buy an Activation Kit, get it from Amazon.com for
$3. After you receive this kit, you must activate new phone number on
tmobile.com. DO NOT Call them or you will not be able to pick this plan.
After putting all the info from activation kit and IMEI # from ANY
tmobile phone, it will prompt you to pick the plan that you want, pick
this plan. Then it will provide you with the new phone number. If you get
some kind of message from tmobile saying that they are processing you
request and blah blah blah, DO NOT call them, Try again or pick a
different area code for your new number. It took me 3 times before I got
my new number. After you get this plan you can either pay be credit card
there or buy this card from walmart.com and get it in the email. Also for
unlimited calls in the US you can get skype calling for $3 a month voice
over ip. Works great, I love my new and cheap PLAN
