I think the primary elements of this episode could basically include the short little story I wrote before titled "Killer AI and Temperature Drop Story" (see [ed_Killer AI and Temperature Drop Story 10-08-2014d2350]), as well as the Bruce Willis character getting sidelined on his way to find the part for the broken compressor.  On his way, the people at the computer control room tell him one of the scientists is trapped in a room that the zombies are actively attacking.  He saves the guy and then assists the scientist to complete the task he was engaged in.  The scientist was performing a screen from a chemical library to see if any of the chemicals inhibited replication of the zombie virus in cell culture cells.  He was setting up a machine learning algorithm to take data and classify images of cell cultures as infected or not infected.  This would allow far more cultures to be screened than would be possible by a human.

Therefore, the main education topics of the episode would be exponential rates and machine learning.
